Focus Group on AI for Autonomous & Assisted Driving

ITU Focus Group on AI for Autonomous & Assisted Driving (FG-AI4AD) focuses on the behavioral evaluation of AI responsible for dynamic driving tasks, as well as working towards international standards, in order to achieve public trust upon the deployment of AI systems in our roads. AI has the potential to help significantly reduce the 1.3 million deaths and 25 million injuries occurring every year on the road. The FG aims to create international harmonisation on the definition of a minimal performance threshold for these AI systems, in order to foster the global public trust required for widespread deployment of AI on our roads. This application of AI will enable new services and applications and accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
