Niklas Cypris presented at the Annual Meeting of the International Society of Political Psychology. The virtual talk focused on the topic of “Fighting Hate Speech: Social Norms and Intervention Behavior“. The talk explored the importance of investigating how AI-based intervention can be personalized to effectively counter online norm violations. Mr. Cypris explained the research conducted by the team of the Personalized AI-based Intervention project, focusing on understanding how the content of counter-speech can match the online user´s identity. Such investigation is necessary to develop guidelines that can adapt the existing AI-enabled systems to address content moderation and assist them with context-specific personalized moderation techniques.
