The IEAI and their partners at the Université Alioune Diop de Bambey, and the Université virtuelle du Sénégal (UVS) worked hand in hand to understand the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on Senegalese higher education.
The IEAI team was responsible for the GDPR compliance of the research while assisting with the development of a research methodology and analyzing the data collected. The outcome of the project included structured recommendations to Senegalese stakeholders on what actions need to be taken to support university teachers and students in digital learning.
“This project allowed the IEAI to build upon the relationships developed through the Responsible AI Network – Africa – TUM/KNUST while focusing on an increasingly important debate about the role of digital learning in higher education. We welcome future opportunities to further expand our research efforts with our partners in Senegal.” Caitlin Corrigan, IEAI Executive Director
