On June 8, 2021 the AI Localism Repository was launched during an event organized by the Global Government Forum. The repository aims to document how different cities around the world are governing AI.
This is particularly relevant for the research conducted at the IEAI by the project “The Ethics and Practice of AI Localism at a Time of Covid-19 and Beyond”.

To understand the opportunities and challenges of the adoption and regulation of AI at a local level, it is essential to analyze the characteristics of successful initiatives that have been taken by cities in determining how, when and why AI, is being deployed by public authorities.
